Academic communion in Japan
Background

Professor Baoguo Li is Ph.D adviser in Department of

Biology, Northwestern University. He is a Committee

Member of IUCN/SSC Primate Specialist Group.

He also is the Associate Director of the Chinese

Mammalia Society Primate Specialist Group.

 


He attended work in Northwestern University in 1985.

In 2001-2002, as a Visiting Professor, he was invited to Primate Research Institute of Kyoto University.

He is now the Incumbent Associate Rector of the Northwestern University Biology Science Institute.

Research Field

Systematic Taxonomy,
Geographic Distribution,
Habitat Assessment,
Ecology and
Conservation Biology of Mammalogy.

A wild research in Qinling Mountains

Attended and presided over 20 scientific research projects supported by Pro-Natura Fund of Japan,

NHK of Japan, Nippon Life Insurance, Daiko Foundation Primate Conservation Inc of American

Zoological Society of San Diego National Natural Scientific Foundation Of China, Chinese GEF

project of World Bank and Shaanxi Education Department, etc..
