Qinling Mountains Man and Nature Information & Education Centre was launched on April 26 in the Foping National Nature Reserve, visitor may come close to round about a thousand of specimens of the unique brown Panda ˇ° Dandanˇ± firstly found in the world, Golden Takin, Golden Monkey, Blood Pheasant , Qinling Fir, and other rare wildlife. In additional The Qinling Wild Research Center for Giant Pandas, which specializes in outdoor study of pandas, was launched synchronously. This will greatly promote the conservation of wild giant pandas.
Qinling Mountains Man and Nature Information & Education Centre lies in
Foping County in Shaanxi Province. Upon the approval of the
State Forestry Administration, from 2001, invested money
of RMB5,800,000.00 yuan, the Centre is set up as the biggest
of dimensions and the highest of the level in
Shaanxi province at present.
Administrative and academic committees will also be set up for the base.
Jointly sponsored by the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Foping National Nature Reserve, the center has invited panda experts from home and abroad to carry out the study of the wild ecology for the pandas living in the Qinling Mountains.
